The OJ Simpson trial has always been called “the trial of the century,” and with the success of the FX series American Crime Story: The People v. OJ Simpson, the dramatic case that spanned over 15 months is back in the spotlight for a whole new generation.
Marcia Clark, the lead prosecutor in the trial, is also back at the forefront with her brand new crime series, Blood Defense, out on May 1st. I got the chance to speak with her about her latest thriller, as well her take on the success of the show and the difficultly in revisiting the trial 20 years later. Plus, Marcia let me in on what she really thinks of Sarah Paulson's on screen portrayal.
Sarah Paulson is an incredible actor who devotes and dedicates herself to every role she is given. From 12 Years a Slave, to her array of (Emmy-nominated) characters on the American Horror Story series, Sarah has shown time and time again why she is favorite among fans and critics alike. While Sarah has definitely been a scene stealer in her previous roles, we think it's safe to say that she stole the whole damn show with her incredible portrayal of Marcia Clark on FX's smash hit, American Crime Story: The People v. OJ Simpson.
Her commitment to the role can be felt through the television screen, and as the series comes to a close, Sarah shares her experience, and talks about why it's an emotional goodbye to Marcia for her as well.
